Cheesecake heaven, Salinas Ibiza

San francisco Bar, Salinas

For cheesecake heaven get yourself to the San francisco bar, in the Nature reserve of Salinas, south West of the island. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, flamingos (if you’re lucky to spot them), and the famous salt flats where ‘Ibiza sal’ is produced.

Gem!!

We knew we had found a little gem as the chatter of voices and clinking of plates and glasses filled the small outside bustling courtyard. Spectacular views, and winter sunshine warmed our faces as we sat and waited to be served.

Menu

Choose from burgers topped with guacamole to goats’ cheese, homemade crispy corn quesadillas with a variety of filings including brie, tomato, jamon and basil, yummy fresh salads, and the biggest desserts I’ve seen – definitely for sharing!

We both opted for the Mexican Burger, with spicy mayo & homemade guacamole topped with a rustic wholemeal bun…. It didn’t disappoint!

Best Beer Ever

For the best beer of your life, make sure you sample 1 or 2 of the beers here, cold, creamy, and golden, goes down like nectar!

Sweet Treats

Big enough to share, we opted for a huge slice of very berry cheesecake, amazingy light and creamy with a crunchy biscuit base drizzled with a tangy raspberry or mango coulis, heaven on a plate!

As expected, this place does get busy so be prepared to wait for a table, sometimes there is a queue at the entrance, always a good sign in my book! Great for couples, families or groups of friends.

You could easily stay here all day. Fruity jugs of sangria and gin balloons topped with cinnamon sticks and wedges of lemon whizzed passed me frequently, only to be greeted by lots of happy slightly fuzzy faces.

5 stars!!

This place gets 5 stars … amazing food, friendly staff, views to die for, a great atmosphere & value for money!
