Sight seeing around the North

Our recommended self drive island tour takes you from Ibiza Town to Santa Eulalia, and then onto San Juan if you feel like it! Through the green and peaceful North and back down through the pretty little village of Santa Gertrudis.

It should take most of the day driving around and enjoying what the island has to offer, depending on how much you wish to see. Remember to have your camera ready, your bikini on, and wear your biggest smile.

Ibiza town – Santa Eulalia

Set off mid morning from Ibiza Town, towards Santa Eulalia. Take the old main road (turn off to Jesús) which leads past the Golf course and Cala Llonga to Santa Eulalia. Santa Eulalia is a bustling pretty town full of lots of shops, bars and restaurants with its own beautiful beach, should you fancy a dip!

Coffee Break

Park the van up and pop to ‘Boho House’ for a coffee or an ice cream a favourite option for many. Sit at the converted campervan and enjoy lunch in the sun. If you can peel yourself away from this delightful cafe take a stroll along the promenade before you continue on your journey.

Santa Eulalia – San Juan

Continue North to the sleepy little of Village of San Juan. Park up and enjoy a good portion of homemade chicken and chips or a more traditional tapas in ‘Bar San Juan. However, be sure to get here early afternoon its popular with the locals and food goes fast. A great people watching spot to sit back and watch the world go by!

San Carlos – Menu del dia (Menu of the Day)

Menu del dia is usually served during siesta (1-4pm it varies) island wide. Expect 2-3 courses including a drink, fresh crusty bread, olives and aliolli (garlic mayo). The ‘Restaurante S’Argentera’ sits in the little village of San Carlos next to the quaint white washed church which sits perfectly against the piercing blue sky.

The Food

The food is fresh and homemade. We enjoyed starters of chickpea tuna salad and a small aubergine lasagne, followed by grilled pork chops, jacket potatoes and the sweetest charred peppers. We just about squeezed in a tiramisu and a mango sorbet for dessert. All of this for just 11 euros each! We were stuffed! We cant recommend this place enough!
